Alan Morris - Premium Artist |
Alan Morris is a Watercolor Artist and a sculptor. He paints from time to time in oils. Alan's style might best be described as Abstract realism. His usual practice is to portray just enough realism to be convincing and then to resolve the painting in abstract shapes and textures. Currently Alan Morris is in the throws of painting three shows. His focus just now is on a show called the Children of Southeast Asia which Alan hopes to open this fall. |

Alan Morris Artist Statement: The main body of my work over the last couple of years has been the fruit of our travels to Uganda, E.A.. This year my work has begun a shift to Asian themes since our recent journey to Cambodia and Thailand. My primary artistic interest has always been people, both figures and portrait. I hope to communicate through my art the realities of the helpless and the hopeless in the world.
I do remote exhibitions of the art and enjoy teaching watercolor workshops and I teach regularly at my studio. Please visit the testimonials page of my website for the response of my students.
