Karla Bogard Artist Statement: I am compelled to paint the beauty of Creation. The light and colors of nature inspire me. I am grateful for every day that I spend trying to capture the essence of the scenes before me: the sky, the sea, the landscape, the garden. I am very grateful for the instructors who showed me how to see, inspired me to learn and encouraged me to share the painting experience with others.Special thanks to her father, Keith Carlson, professor, retired, Academy of Art, San Francisco, who has been her life-long mentor.
